FROYO TO GINGERBREAD TO ICE-CREAM SANDWICH :: ITS ALL ANDROID

Twitter & Android ::: Yes Twitter and Android are really the integral part of my life these days.....
Initially it was Twitter which i started using ,as my closest friend Abhishek Bhardwaj  advised me to be regular on it and be a bit interactive.For first few weeks i found it the most boring site on internet but later on , i become addicted to it.But it was bit difficult to remain online on twitter on laptop all the time,Then my same friend  told me to go for android mobile handset.
In April this year i become the proud owner of LG P-500 (Optimus One ) Android phone (version 2.2)

I loved all its features and i m still loving it and now i remain in touch with twitter all the time with my android phone via Ubersocial......

Few bays back only i got it upgraded from Froyo 2.2 Android version to Gingerbread 2.3
I am going to share the changes in these two versions via different pictures ..i hope you will like it....
Its time for the pictures rather screenshots to speak......

Lets start with the screenshots of my old version i.e. Android 2.2 :::

To begin with,the app that helped me in taking these screen shots - SCREENSHOT BY KASTORSOFT
It is said that it works generally on rooted phones but luckily it worked on mine .

That used to be my home screen powered by "Beautiful widgets app" that i got for free from my friend...

Now, its Market time !!Lets buy the apps here,but in this market we can get lot of things in free too...
 Its the new upgraded market...(it works on both versions)
Its a bit slow ,older version of market was much faster.

When i  feel free ,i turn on my Opera mini browser to read some excellent n refreshing blogs like this one ::

Thats another window of my home screen ::

Apps and apps and apps ::

This used to be my dialer screen in froyo ::

My Gallery :::

Hmmm....all these snapshots were from my Android 2.2 version ..

Here comes the screenshots from the upgraded version 2.3 Ginger bread ::::

You can itself notify the changes,however there are no big alterations---

Notification Screen ::

As we can notice,signal bar colour has changed into green, Also the Notification screen background colour has been changed from White to Black....

 Thats my new homescreen ::

Android version has changed to 2.3.3 =

 This time i took screen shots from same app but the look has changed a bit ::

Thats the honeycomb clock :::

 Again the App section ::

The contacts page ::

My Gallery ,yes you are allowed to roam into it ::

Thats my GTalk screen, i talk too much na...sorry ,go ahead ::

The main Settings Page,please notice the symbols  have been made colourful in this version ,no major changes ::

Thats one of my Home Screen currently ::

One major thing i would like to share that ,after upgrade many of the pre installed  applications like dictionaries and phone specific apps (LG apstore in my case) vanish and cannot be used in gingerbread.
I still miss my preinstalled offline dictionary which no longer work in this version 2.3.
I have to cope with this online dictionary ::

The bottom pop-up screen has also changed a bit ::

Thats my favourite Music App  SAAVN...just search any song and you will find it instantly ::

And thats my Favourite Game ::

Music Station :

This Battery usage screen has also changed in this version ::

You can notice the signal bar here have changed to white from Green,they keep on flipping ::

........Thats all.....yes ...thats all..

I was equally surprised when i dint found any major changes in these two versions .
I was expecting a lot but no such change is there.As everyone say battery consumption will decrease,but i dint felt any major change.
Infact, i lost many of the important preinstalled apps.

But its all not vain,it has bought some colourful changes in my phone...Also maybe i am yet to explore some more changes...

New version of the Android (2.4.0) is also coming soon and it will be called ICE-CREAM SANDWICH but my phone no longer support any further upgrade.

But I M LOVING IT >>>>I LOVE ANDROID>>>>I LOVE TWITTER...........if you wish, do follow me at twitter/manishrajora

If you know any other change or wish to correct me..Please do write in the comments section.....All your views from every single reader of this post are awaited in the comments section below.........

A VISIT TO KHAJURAHO - EK ANOKHA ANUBHAV !!

Recently I came to know that after TAJMAHAL, the second highest number of foreign tourists visit KHAJURAHO, so we, four friends planned to visit this World heritage site “KHAJURAHO TEMPLES”, one among the seven wonders of India and named so due to abundance of Palm trees at that time…

                                                                                                                                                              These temples are not about religion and worshipping . The temples of Khajuraho are instead famous for the eroticism etched on its walls in the form of sculptures,yes its true indeed .An amalgamation of science and art of architecture, these 10th-11th century temples have a very interesting legend behind them that connects them to the origin of Chandela dynasty.

Accordindg to a very old myth it is said that in a fit of passion and lust, the Moon God ,yes guessed right ‘chandra devta’ seduced and ravaged a beautiful Brahmin girl known as Hemvati, resulting in the birth of Chandravarman (the founder of the Chandela dynasty).

Later, Chandravarman had a dream where his mother requested him to make a temple, which would reveal all aspects of passion and erotic fantasy to the world.

Only 22 temples have survived out of the original 85 temples. It displays one of the most unique stone-carving work and was declared a World Heritage Site in 1986.

This place is well connected by Air and Road and many good hotels are there…..We went through the the Road however as we tried to follow shortcut to reach there, it proved to be a ordeal for us to reach there…But anyhow we managed to reached there on time.

The temples are grouped into three geographical divisions: western, eastern and southern.

As we entered there , audio devices were also being offered ,which guides us about that very place where we are at that time, It was indeed a good service,we need not to take guide then….

As we moved on, we were amazed to see the art on temples ,a true amalgamation of art and science,I was simply touching and feeling those excellent art work and thinking how were they made with so much sharpness and similarity thousands year back when there were no machines no cutters… true talent
.

And yes, as we moved on,we got to see what we were looking for immensely..the erotism..or we can say ‘Kamasutra’……These walled sculptures include depiction of numerous deities, their attendants in sensuous positions and provocative postures, embracing couples, dancers and musicians and couples engaged in various refinements of love or sex or whatever.But even such depiction was etched amazingly....It was so erotic that i saw may foreigner tourists to do...'OOOooo' keeping fingures on lips..

Some scripts were also written there at many places, atleast i was not able to understand even a single word.You may try below :

We also got to meet and talk to some of the foreign tourists and they all were delighted to see that place and the hot sun was making them to hide around every few minutes….

                                             IN PICTURE (Its me with a Japanese tourist )

Also I was sad rather shocked to see ,here also like Kutub Minar and other places ,the faces of almost all gods,idols and statues were fully or partly damaged but I thing was clear that it was intentionally done by someone…still I don’t know who did so and why …if anyone of you know the reason please let me know in the comments section….

We also visited the JAIN Temple there,we get to see superb marble art work there….

We must appreciate the great preservation work done by the ASI (Archaelogical Survey of India) …Much impressed by seeing the cleanliness and greenery all over, very well maintained ,all thanks to the people behind this…

It was a unforgettable trip…..and hello….much more fun was waiting for us ahead…We get to know from a local person about a waterfall there around 25 KM from Khajuraho called ‘RANEHFALL’ . We rushed there immediately as we were running out of the time . There was the entry fee of RS.240 for whole car ,no matter how many person are there inside …..Anyway the main entrance gate was 3 KM from the Fall, and it was a complete forest area with lot of trees ,wild animals all over and a narrow cemented road in between….. We tried to bargain but fail and agreed when came to know that it is government approved fare and is fixed.. Within 5 minutes ,we reached there ,yes ! we reached `Heaven` ,what a scene that was…..water coming out from rocks with ultimate speed from many places…it was like a scenery…see it yourself --

Guide told us that volcano erupted there thousands years ago resulted into this with Red and Black igneous rocks all over…I just cant narrate you my feeling with words any more ,you need to be there to feel the same,and we would have missed the main attraction of Khajuraho, had we returned without visiting the place…..

At last I must say it was mesmerizing and life long experience……………......

INDIA AGAINST CORRUPTION !! - A Crusade by Anna Hazare

Its been around 5 months I haven`t written any post here because I am a bit lazy,also I was not getting any topic to write on…….but today I could not stop myself to express my feelings on this topic…the topic concerned to every person of the society,the topic that has created a nationwide awareness and anger against corruption,the topic that has created history,the topic that has united the Indian people all over the country rather world,the topic that has compelled the government to accept the demands.yes I am talking about the – ANNA`S REVOLUTION-INDIA AGAINST CORRUPTION.

ANNA,the name ,till last week,I used to know only as a social activist, is everyone`s inspiration now.Everyone knows who Anna Hazare is,just because of the unprecedented task he has done,the fire he has ignited.

Everyday everyone used to talk about corruption but nobody was daring to take action ,to try to stop corruption nationwide but this 72 years old young man has done this by starting a nationwide movement and going on fast unto death on 5th April 2011 to compel government to agree on Jan Lokpal bill and forming the drafting committee with equal number of members from civil society.

I am calling Anna ,a very young man because even on the 4th day of his fast he was as energized and as active as he was on day 1.Being an ex-armyman ,he is too strong and dedicated that even after retiring from army, he started working for the welfare of common people and development of his village Ralegan Siddhi ,later on this village was awarded with the tag of Model village.He also worked for uprooting alcoholism,milk production programmes,removal of untouchabilities, and collective marriages however himself he hasn`t married .He also launched anti –corruption protests in Maharastra and worked a lot for Right to Information bill.He was,indeed,awarded the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India. To aise hai hamare Anna……………..

AS every coin has two flip sides, this successful crusade by Anna Hazare is also being considered worthless by some cynical people but these people have their own views for such cynical feeling of distrust. Some people like famous CNN IBN anchor/journalist Sagarika Ghose think that if such jan lokpal bill comes into existence than there are large possibilities that our India will convert into a Police State with all the power being with the Lokpal at the centre (quoted as per her tweets).

I simply just want to ask such people that there is a possibility that we may convert into police state but if this bill does not convert into law will not we surely convert into a failed state with such amount of corruption scams going on everywhere mainly by ministers,leaders and government officers??

Yes,I agree that some loopholes may be there in this Janlokpal bill but that is why this bill is being examined by the drafting committee to remove such loopholes after due consultations with the thinktanks.The main point that i also think should happen is-at central level only single person lokpal should not have all the powers,infact ,a panel of 4-5 person together should be there at central level as a lokpal. Also decision taking authority must only be with the leaders/ministers.Lokpal should only look into well proved corruption charges only.However surely all these shortcomings of bill(if any) will be looked into but such bill is the need of the hour to prevent atleast the coming generation from facing such huge corruption which has currently engulfed the society with its huge wings.These wings need to be clipped urgently.

But with this crusade against corruption one thing is clear, we all Indians can come together within a short period of time as seen in this movement at Jantar Mantar.People from all sections of society whether children,housewives,school/college going students ,activists,filmstars,artists, irrespective of cast,creed ,culture and age took part into the movement.Its really the victory of People of India.

However,it is just a beginning ,we have a long way to go to fight against this menace called corruption but this can be called our Initial victory as the Drafting Committee has been constituted with 50:50 share from government and Civil Soceity.But in this victory ,we must not forget our real heroes Arvind Kejrival, Swami Agnivesh and Kiran Bedi alongwith Anna Hazare for their valuable contribution in starting the Fight against Corruption called India Against Corruption.Kiran Bedi is definitely a women of substance.

The role of media in covering this movement and spreading awareness is really commendable.

Atlast lets say together ::

Anna nahin ye andhi hai,aaj k yug ka Gandhi hai…..

Really we need true ,selfless and altruistic person like him to lead the nation………………
